Overview:
The PADI Open Water Diver Course is the most popular beginner Scuba certification program currently available and your passport for amazing underwater adventures. This is a lifetime certification that allows you to dive to a max depth of 60 feet anywhere in the world.
Black Rock Scuba offers the PADI e-learning method of certification in which you will first complete your knowledge development section in the comfort of your own home before coming to Maui.
Once here you will conveniently complete the required Confined Water sessions in the resort’s beautiful pool and not in the ocean from some parking lot like most other dive operators in Maui.
And you will also take part in 4 ocean training dives at the gorgeous Black Rock shore dive literally steps away from our shop.
The course typically takes 3 days to complete.
What to expect:
- Day one: (2.5 hours) You will check in at 9:00 am for your first pool session immediately followed by your first training ocean dive
- Day two: (3 hours in the morning followed by a lunch break and then about 2 more hours in the afternoon). On day 2 you will check in at 8:00 am and complete the rest of the Confined Water skills during the morning session before taking a well-deserved lunch break ( we have a few restaurants to choose from at the resort!), we will then conduct your second ocean training dive
- Day three: (3 hours) On your final day you will check in at 8:00 am and complete the last 2 ocean training dives and you will become a certified PADI Open Water diver and time to celebrate your achievement!
