PADI Discover Scuba Program

Prerequisites
- 10 years old minimum age. · Good physical health (Please review PADI’s medical questionnaire before booking to make sure you don’t need a doctor’s clearance before diving )
- Ability to swim in deep water.
- Ability to walk with your own gear.
- A sense of adventure.

Overview
The PADI Discover Scuba program is the world’s most popular way to get introduced to diving. This a 2.5 hour experience where you will receive a brief lesson on the basics of scuba diving followed by a shallow in-water skill session which will be conveniently completed at our pool on site at our Sheraton Maui Resort location or the beautiful shallow waters of Kapalua Bay at our Montage Resort location.
Our instructor will work with you to get you comfortable breathing underwater and learn a few basic skills before venturing out to our beautiful dive sites just steps away from our shops. You will spend about
45 minutes underwater exploring the beautiful reef and encountering some great marine life. Turtles, colorful fish, moray eels, white tip reef sharks, eagle rays and more can be seen at these incredible dive sites. Maximum depth at the site is between 30 and 40 feet, so you don’t need to go deep.
What to Expect
You will check in at the Sheraton Maui watersports center or the Montage Kapalua Bay beach recreation center for your activity where you will meet our instructor. You will first complete all required paperwork ( Please make sure you have reviewed the PADI medical questionnaire and provide us with a doctor’s clearance if required!). We will then proceed to fit you in for all the gear needed for diving before the instructor goes through the brief lesson and teach you the basics ahead of your shallow water session.
Once this has been completed you will have a short break while we get your gear ready with full tanks for the ocean dive. You will spend about 45 minutes underwater (air supply permitting) under direct supervision of our experienced PADI instructor. We will show you some amazing marine life and create one of the most memorable experiences of your life.
